Brede Bulletin, 17 October

This week our newsletter looks at what children got up to, like welcoming prospective parents for tours ahead of next year’s Reception intake.

Our Forest School also created large‑scale artwork on the recreational ground, from giant letters to pop‑fizzing fireworks , using natural materials.

And a happy update: after supporting another East Sussex school, Mrs Knock will return to Brede full time after half term.

What children have been up to

• Living our values: Responsibility, inquisitiveness, confidence, inspiration and respect stayed front and centre through our School Charter.
• WOW notes and reading milestones: Pupils across Hedgehogs, Rabbits, Foxes and Owls were celebrated with WOW notes and 25‑read certificates.

• Supporting Parents of Teenagers (10+) — understand the teenage brain, learn practical tools and build calm connections. Face‑to‑face at Sidley Family Hub. Final session Wed 17 Dec, 10am to 12 midday. Book via:

• Singalong at St George’s — Sun 21 Dec, 2:45 pm
  Adults £10 with mulled wine and mince pies. Children free.
• Christingle at St George’s, Wed 24 Dec, 3:00 pm
  the event is raising money for The Children’s Society.
