This week at Brede

This week our newsletter looks at what children got up to, like learning safe fire making at Forest School using a “dragon sneeze”, gathering around our new fire pit donated by Rural Pastimes, and making the most of the autumn sunshine.

    Sun 21 Dec 2025, 2.45 pm: Singalong at St George’s. Family carols. Adults £10 including mulled wine and mince pies. Children free
  • Wed 24 Dec 2025, 3.00 pm: Christingle at St George’s. Family service raising money for The Children’s Society
  • Thu 8 Jan to Thu 12 Feb 2026: Swimming block for Foxes
  • Mon 23 Feb 2026: INSET day (whole school)
  • Mon 20 to Wed 22 Jul 2026: INSET days (whole school)

What children have been up to

  • Forest School learned to make fire safely and enjoyed time outdoors with the new fire pit
  • Pupils across all classes were celebrated with WOW notes and reading certificates

Support for parents and carers

  • Supporting Parents of Teenagers (10+): understand the teenage brain, learn practical tools and build calm connections. Face‑to‑face at Sidley Family Hub. Final session Wed 17 Dec, 10am to 12 midday. Book via:
