Each class votes for the classmate to represent them on the School Council. The council helps the Headteacher and Governors to ensure Brede Primary School is a safe and happy place to learn.
What we do
The School Council and Mrs Burrows meet every term. We discuss ideas for school improvement, how things are going from the children’s perspective and how to raise money for are school charity. Sometimes we even meet with the school governors to ask them questions and give them our views.
Some questions we have asked the governors:
Can we:
- extend the adventure trail - They said yes, but we need to raise a lot of money.
- have a school/ class pet - This has been put on hold due to classmates having allergies.
- have more books for the library - We have a new library and this will be happening this year.
