Lunch is from 12pm until 1pm and children eat in the hall. When the weather is warm enough pupils can eat packed lunches outside on the picnic benches.
Hot meals
A contracted catering service cooks hot meals on the premises. We post a menu in the school entrance and send it home with your child. We only offer baguettes during the summer terms. This is to encourage children to eat a hot meal when it is cold outside. Water is available for all children to help themselves to during lunch.
You must book meals by 8.30am. Your child can then make their menu choice and tell the class teacher at register time.
Packed lunches
Pupils can bring packed lunches to school. Please avoid items that contain nuts to protect children with a nut allergy. Please encourage your child to eat a healthy, well-balanced meal like a sandwich and a piece of fruit.
Meal costs
Children in key stage 1 (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) receive a free school meal. If you receive benefits, please complete the form at the school office. This helps the school to obtain additional funding.
Please pay for school meals online via Parentpay. (This is a secure online payment system. It is for parents and carers to pay for their child’s meals and trips. You can also see a record of all transactions).
Please ask at the office for help if you have any problems with the online system.
Please ensure that the funds are in your account before you order lunches.
A contractor runs the school kitchen that is separate from the school office.
