Welcome to Brede Primary school!
We are a small village school with a strong sense of community, dedicated to delivering the highest quality education for every pupil. In close partnership with our governing body and parents, we strive for excellence in all that we do, setting ambitious standards and inspiring every learner through engaging, interactive, and stimulating experiences.
Situated in the picturesque village of Brede, surrounded by the rolling 1066 countryside and close to the historic Cinque Ports town of Rye in East Sussex, our unique location offers rich opportunities for learning beyond the classroom. This exceptional environment, combined with our core values, nurtures a vibrant school community filled with enthusiastic children and committed staff eager to share what makes Brede truly special.
We take great pride in being a Rights Respecting School, where every child’s voice is valued and their rights form the foundation of our ethos. As a Therapeutic Thinking School, we prioritise emotional well-being by fostering a supportive and nurturing environment that helps every pupil thrive. Additionally, as a Cohort One PINS (Partnership for Neurodiversity in Schools) project school, we champion inclusivity and a tailored approach to learning that meets the needs of all children.
In our most recent Ofsted inspection in February 2022, Brede Primary School was judged securely ‘Good’ for the second time, with inspectors commending our teachers’ strong subject knowledge, high expectations, and the polite, respectful, and courteous attitudes of our pupils, who clearly enjoy their time at school. While proud of these achievements, we remain ambitious, continually building on our strengths and enriching the curriculum to make learning even more challenging and inspiring.

Kindest regards
